Since 2010 I’ve been responsible for producing/tour managing hundreds of live music and theatre-based events across the UK, Europe, North America, Australia and Japan. Many have been at major arts centres, such as Barbican, Southbank, Philharmonie de Paris, Muziekgebouw, Hollywood Bowl, Sydney Opera House, and major festivals like Glastonbury, Holland Festival, BBC Proms, and Reeperbahn Festival.
I am a trusted pair of hands, equally comfortable fostering partnerships with large organisations like NHS, TFL and local authorities, alongside small volunteer-run community groups. Much of my recent work with has involved music for social impact, often taking place in complex and non-standard performance spaces. Since 2016 I have secured over £100k in Arts Council Funding, including a coveted Developing Your Own Creative Practice award for my own practice.
I am driven by excellence, the magic of collaboration, and risk-taking projects which re-imagine existing art forms for greater accessibility.
Since 2016 I have produced over 20 tours and projects for Street Orchestra Live – England’s Pop Up Orchestra. Together we’ve taken orchestral music out of the concert hall and into shopping centres, children’s playgrounds, hospitals, schools and nursing homes, reaching an estimated 30,000 people with our pop-up concerts in over 25 local authority areas in England.
When COVID forced live music to go digital, I was at the forefront of devising and producing a range of innovative projects with Street Orchestra Live. After securing funding from Arts Council England I was able to commission three digital projects and a day’s activity in celebration of the NHS’s 70th birthday in 2018.
Queer Songbook (UK) explores and celebrates the queer voice in songs from across the ages. The concerts are a riot of storytelling with heartfelt singing from have-a-go heroes and polished performers. I also arranged the majority of the music for the concerts, with songs by the likes of Radiohead, Janet Jackson, Joni Mitchell and Bjork.
